About Us

At Natural Beginnings, we do more than just see patients day in and day out.  Every day we build community…and this community is filled with women who feel seen, heard and respected.

We are a thriving, innovative group of midwives offering many options for care while also managing to keep our “small town” vibe.

Our mission is to empower women to be in control of their health and healthcare experiences, to encourage women that they are worthy to love themselves as well as they love those that surround them, and to do this through encouragement, not fear.

While being a Midwife is my passion, when I’m not working I love spending time with my two children. We enjoy hiking and taking cruises to tropical destinations! I also enjoy running and spending time with my hairless terrier, Gaby.

I  love my career as a Certified Nurse Midwife and meeting wonderful families who allow me to be a part of their birth experience! When I am not at work I enjoy time with my husband and our two girls, Ashley and Hannah. We love to take family vacations and explore new places! We love to cruise with Disney! Life as a Midwife takes many hours away from my family so we make the most of vacation time!

I am passionate about empowering women through prenatal care and ensuring that all women have access to the care that they deserve. My goal is to empower, educate and help women to make wise, intuitive choices surrounding their health. I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. I enjoy traveling to new places, but there’s definitely no place like home. If I’m not working you will usually find me at the soccer field cheering on my kids.

Empowering, educating, and caring for women throughout their lifespan has been my passion for as long as I could remember. I am so grateful to be a midwife and care for women every day. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters, Stormy and Avery. I love traveling to new places and when not working can be found at the dance studio watching my girls.

For as long as I can remember, I have known that being a Midwife was my path. I feel so lucky that I get to help bring life into the world every day, and to be a woman supporting women. When I’m not working, I spend as much time as possible outside with my fiancee, Jeromy, crafting, and snuggling my sweet fur babies, Penny and Lincoln.

I am so grateful and honored to be a part of the amazing Natural Beginnings family. This community inspires me. My goal, as a midwife, is to hold space, educate, and provide care that feels safe, empathetic, and supportive. In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, exploring new places, and listening to music. One of the things that brings me the most joy is snuggles with my cat, Ziggy.

I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with my BSN in 2012 and have spent the last 8 years in women’s health. I have always had a passion for women’s health and am was excited to be further that passion by graduating from Frontier Nursing University as a women’s health nurse practitioner in 2019. At NBBC I am thrilled to be doing well woman care as well as seeing patients for prenatals and other types of visits. Most of my spare time is spent with my fiancé, Adam, and our amazing kids, Acadia and Rhett. Our favorite thing to do together is taking walks on the dirt road we live on to see/pet the neighboring farm animals. I also enjoy traveling, learning about other cultures, and reading.”

They have lived in Statesville and raised 3 kids since 1986. He has practiced 34 years and has advanced training in robotic and laser surgery. He deals with high-risk pregnancy, VBAC, abnormal Pap smears, and gynecologic surgery.

Sounds cliche, but I truly just LOVE helping people. I also enjoy being able to take care of the whole patient and having continuity of care throughout a patient’s entire life which is why I chose family medicine. My particular interest in women's health motivated me to do additional training in obstetrics. In my spare time, I spend time with my husband and our two year old.  I also love anything outdoors...hiking, biking, kayaking. I also enjoy traveling.
